How on earth did you end up naming your bearded dragons that ?
The story of how our Bearded Dragons came to be called Rae & Kev.
For as long as I can remember I have always been interested in animals, especially reptiles. I persuaded my Mum and Dad to let me have a lizard, but they said the condition was that I had to raise the money myself. As I was determined to become a lizard owner I started helping my sister with her paper round and she kindly paid me for the help. After months and months of helping her deliver papers and doing odd jobs I had managed to save enough to buy my vivarium and all the other kit I needed and had it all set up in the lounge ready to go. The only problem I had was that I still had to save up the money for the actual lizard.
Then one morning I was listening to the breakfast show on our local radio station Leicester Sound and I heard about some guy who was planning to give away some money he had won so I phoned in and asked whether he would consider giving me the extra bit of cash I needed to buy the Bearded Dragon to complete my set up. The guy didn't think this was a suitable idea for the money but one of the presenters Kev, who was born in Australia, thought it was a wonderful idea and very kindly donated the extra money to me so that I could complete my dream and become the owner of a Bearded Dragon.
Kevina, as she is now known, has just also been adopted as the official mascot of Leicester Sound and I think celebrity status may be going to her head. You can she she has even demanded her own set of Beardie 'Phones to listen in to the show on
